ABOUT ME
ALEX WRIGHT
Born and raised in Lincoln, NE, I have been performing since a very young age. In 2008, I moved to Los Angeles, CA and starting teaching and performing music professionally.
In 2009, I joined Demi Lovato's band playing keyboards and travelled internationally performing in Europe, South America, and in the US. After a couple years spent in the pop music world, I decided to put my energy into more creative pursuits and joined an indie-rock band called Kiev. In 2014 Kiev's debut album "Falling Bough Wisdom Teeth" received 'Album of the Year' from the Orange County Music Awards. That same year Kiev's hit song "Be Gone Dull Cage" was featured on an episode of the television show "The Walking Dead".
When I'm not playing music I love being outdoors - hiking, running, or cycling. In 2016, I completed a thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail which spans from Mexico to Canada through CA, OR, and WA stretching 2,650 miles in length. I believe you can do anything that you put your mind to and encourage all of my students to follow their dreams to become the best person they can possibly be.
Alex Wright is a professional musician and teacher offering Piano lessons, Guitar lessons, Songwriting & Production lessons. Alex can be seen doing anything from shredding solo classical piano to performing on stage with pop artists. As a former member of the indie rock band Kiev, Alex wrote and recorded songs with Grammy award winning engineers and producers who are known for working with artists like Radiohead, Bob Dylan, and many more.

I fell in love with the guitar when I was 12 years old. There are many classic songs that I like to teach that work great as a platform to learn the basics of the instrument and music theory. Whether you have an acoustic, electric, or both we would explore many different techniques while maintaining an emphasis on the type of music you enjoy the most.

I began writing music when I was 9 years old and it continues to be one of my greatest passions. I've written music with many different artists, and enjoy working with my students on everything from simple pieces on the piano to songs performed by an entire band. PIANO LESSONS
From Beginner to Advanced
Growing up I had the hardest time finding a good piano teacher. Since I could play by ear, most instructors couldn't fit me into their typical teaching method. I pride myself in being a fun and energetic teacher who is able to cater my lessons to a wide variety of students, building on their strengths while developing the skills they need to be a great pianist.
